Through The Ruins

Loves moves, laying on a fault line, shifting and changing,

change the scenery, change with time, always rearranging

Love flies, hands reaching for the skies, heat like the sun

awakening, sleeping, wings clipped, coming undone

The cobwebs dusted, the webs woven, pray or prey

Light passing through teardrops, drying them away

Roots, tangled and twisted, wrap around the heart

Deep and deeper still, holding every single part

Love shifting, sands in the seas pulled by the moons

Footprints on the shore guiding like a path to home

Love living, a universe to roam

Through the present, through the ruins
