You Think I Don’t Like Sitting In The Rain

You think I don’t like it sitting in the rain,
the dark all around me like the talons
where I rest my head,
you think the truth tastes like a lie,
each letter thrown into the sky,
I pluck them from the stars as they fly by,
you can’t be dead,
you think I travelled all these roads,
baby, …not in my mind,
the path may be strewn with what you’ve said,
as I tread the sentences scatter because you sit,
blind,
but I’ll never forget what they all meant,
each word I’ve left behind,
and you’ll never forget
me,
sitting in the rain,
the dark my longest truest love,
for I know how to live there with the pain,
for me, no below, no above…
I can’t be broken, there’s nothing left..to break
